Mount Fuji: Kawaguchiko or Hakone?
Two ways to see Fuji from Tokyo, each with its own strengths.
Lake Kawaguchi is closer to Mount Fuji and the view is better. Oishi Park on the lake is one of the best viewpoints, especially in autumn.
Lake Ashi in Hakone has more to do: the Open Air Museum, the ropeway and the pirate ship.
You can also book a night in a hotel with a private hot spring in the room.
